There are lots and lots of free tools for making movies and creating audio things (podcasts, music, etc). Here are download links to two of our favorites, DaVinci Resolve for video editing & Audacity for audio.

To the right you'll find two getting started tutorials for these softwares and we've also included links to TJ FREE's youtube courses for both of these softwares . His tutorials are nicely paced and great for getting started.

These two production tools are really good because they are easy to get started with and explore but can also make professional quality media as you get better with them. Their user interfaces are similar to professional ones (such as Adobe Premier & Audition) so if you continue to create content it will be easy to jump into software used in the media industry.
